El material ceràmic dels nivells fundacionals de Gerunda. Els estrats inferiors de Casa Pastors

The emergency digs promoted by the reforms to the Justice palace in Girona, at the former ‘Casal dels Pastors’ (1970-1973), inside the walls of the Roman city, next to the northern gate, allowed us to identify a very powerful stratigraphical sequence realed in ancient time. The upper layer was connected to the Late Empire walls and lower one to the foundational. In this work, we study the pottery from the lower layers, which furnish us with a complete and rich source of the instrumentum domesticum used in this territory during the first third of the first century B.C

Les excavacions d’urgència promogudes com a conseqüència de les reformes del Palau de Justícia de Girona, a l’antic casal dels Pastors (1970-1973), dins dels murs de la ciutat romana, a tocar la porta septentrional, van permetre identificar un paquet estratigràfic d’una gran potència i segellat d’antic que es relacionava, la part de dalt, amb l’emmurallat del baix imperi, i el de baix, amb el fundacionalitat. En aquest treball, estudiem el material ceràmic dels nivells inferiors que proporcionaren un ric i complet panorama de l’instrumentum domesticum usat en aquest territori durant el primer terç del segle I aC
