| The main objective of this bachelor’s thesis is to gain insight into the experiences solo female backpackers face in Southeast Asia so as to identify their risks and the strategies they adopt to avoid being vulnerable. In order to properly undertake the research, five secondary objectives will be included that complement the principle one: To understand their feelings before, during and after travelling to the region To get to know what solo female backpackers seek in their trips To know more about their experiences during their backpacking trip in Southeast Asia To find out what risks they face and the strategies they develop to reduce them To provide useful information to Destination Management Organisations in Southeast Asia to improve the trips of solo female travellers | |
