L’Ós bru al Pirineu català. Un estat de la qüestió al Pallars Sobirà

Les polítiques de reintroducció de l’os bru dutes a terme els darrers vint anys han estat objecte de debat i dissemblança entre les diferents parts implicades. Aquest fet ha gestat un clima enterbolit que s’ha anat agreujant en la mesura que l’espècie es consolidava després d’unes dècades on va arribar a ser catalogada com a extinta. D’aquesta manera, la problemàtica d’avui ha transcendit del marc purament ecològic al social, tot dotant-se de complexitat i lassitud. Amb el suport d’un relat historiogràfic i de la caracterització biològica del plantígrad, aquest estudi analitza des de les repercussions ambientals i socioeconòmiques que genera, fins a les problemàtiques i oportunitats que se’n deriven. Un enfoc multidisciplinari i holístic que espera poder donar una resposta científica al conflicte o, si més no, disposar de les eines necessàries al lector perquè comprengui de forma senzilla i entenedora l’escenari que dibuixa l’os bru al Pallars Sobirà

The actions carried out during the last two decades in order to re-introduce the brown bear have been in the middle of many discussions between several stakeholders of its effects in the Pallars Sobirà of Catalonia. This animal species was classified as extinct in that region during some decades but thanks to the re-introduction actions taken with success, the situation has been reverted. Unfortunately, the confrontation caused for this project has increased between the involved agents and finally has overcome both the ecological and social frame. With the help of a historiographic story and the biological characterization, this study analyses the opportunities and problems generated and its origin in the socioeconomic and environmental impact of the re-introduction. A multidisciplinary and holistic approach with the aim of giving a scientific answer to the problem or at least, sharing with the reader the necessary tools to understand the situation surrounding the brown bear in Pallars Sobirà region
