The present work aims to analyze if a relationship exists between fashion and personal concern about weight, food and the figure itself. The personal concern about the weight, food and the figure is analyzed within the context of a culture with a very marked range of beauty where being thin is related to physical appeal. Methodologists have seen and described the shop windows of 60 shops in Castell-Platja d’Aro. At the same time, 2,060 surveys have been carried out in the street, in front of and also inside these points of sale, with men and women between the ages of 11 and 65, reaching an average of 34 surveys for each store. The results show a concern for the weight, the food and the figure, in both women and men, and with a higher incidence in the young and adolescent population. At the same time, they confirm that there is no match between the articles’ sizes shown by stores and the real customers of the stores. In most cases, the average size of the customers is significantly higher than those shown by the brands. At a level of discussion, considering that numerous studies show evidence of the relationship between eating disorders and advertising, we must focus on actions related to health and awareness, especially on the most vulnerable public
