Projecte per a la inclusió d’infants i joves amb autisme a través del Cau Flos i Calcat

Segons el manual "Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders 5th edition" (DSM-5) el Trastorn de l’Espectre Autista (TEA) és un trastorn de neurodesenvolupament que afecta la capacitat per interactuar i establir relacions socials amb altres persones (APA, 2013). Aquest fet pot dificultar la inclusió d’aquest col·lectiu dins la societat i fins i tot provocar l’aïllament social. Per a donar resposta aquesta problemàtica hem creat un projecte per a la inclusió d’infants i joves amb autisme dins del Cau Flos i Calcat. Aquest neix dins la Fundació Junts per l’Autisme, d’Arenys de Mar, una fundació amb deu anys d’experiència treballant amb persona amb autisme. La intenció del projecte, per una banda, és dotar i/o millorar les habilitats socials i comunicatives dels infants i joves amb autisme per facilitar la seva inclusió. Per altra banda brindar coneixements teòrics i pràctics als monitors i participants del Cau Flos i Calcat perquè aprenguin a gestionar les situacions que puguin sorgir durant les activitats dins del Cau.

According to the “Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders 5th edition” (DSM-5) autism is a neurodevelopmental disorder that affects the ability to interact and establish social relationships with other people (APA, 2013). This fact can make it difficult to include this group of people in society and even lead to social isolation. In order to answer this problem we have created a project for the inclusion of children and young people with autism in the Cau Flos and Calcat. The project was born within the Fundació Junts per l’Autisme, in Arenys de Mar, a foundation with ten years of experience working with people with autism. The aim of the project, on one hand, is to provide and/or improve social and communication skills of children and young people with autism to facilitate their inclusion. On the other hand, to provide theoretical and practical knowledge to the educators and participants of the Cau Flos and Calcat so that they learn to manage everyday situations that may arise during the activities within the leisure project.
