L’educació sexual en persones amb discapacitat intel·lectual: intervenció infermera: projecte de recerca

Intellectual disability (ID) is currently classified as a neurodevelopmental disorder. This concept has evolved and, over time and decades, has become more socially accepted. Even today, following evolution, persons with intellectual disabilities are a vulnerable group with different difficulties and taboos in everyday life activities. The sexuality of the people with intellectual disabilities is something that it is not common to talk or read about despite of the fact that they are one of the most risk groups of sexual abuse. More research is needed on this subject in order to propose new effective and adapted sex education programs for this social group, giving them the opportunity to fully enjoy their sexuality. Prevention and health promotion, recognized as nursing competencies, will be important to provide patients more knowledge about sexual education. It will be necessary to put emphasis on the formation of the nursing collective related to this topic to make them be able to provide a good sexual education for people with intellectual disabilities. OBJECTIVE - To know the interventions that the nurses of Mental Health of Gerona do to give a sexual education to the people with intellectual disability. METHODOLOGY - This is a phenomenological study that will be realized between the months of May 2020 - January 2021. The interventions that the mental health nurses make on the sexual education to people with intellectual disabilities will be known, as well as their own experiences in relation to the topic. The technique for this will be a semi-structured interview that will be recorded. The Atlas-ti software will be used for data analysis

La discapacitat intel·lectual (DI) està classificada actualment com a trastorn del neuro-desenvolupament. Aquest concepte ha anat evolucionant i, amb el pas del temps i dècades, ha estat més acceptat socialment. Encara avui en dia, davant d’aquesta evolució, les persones amb discapacitat intel·lectual són un col·lectiu vulnerable amb diverses dificultats i tabús a les activitats de la vida diària. La seva sexualitat és un aspecte generalment, poc tractat i reconegut, i són un dels col·lectius amb més risc d’abusos sexuals. Cal seguir investigant sobre el tema per a proposar nous programes d’educació sexual efectius i adaptats per aquest grup social, donant-los l’oportunitat de gaudir plenament de la seva sexualitat. La promoció i la prevenció per a la salut, dues de les competències reconegudes dels professionals d’infermeria, seran molt importants per a cobrir aquesta necessitat. Caldrà posar èmfasi en la formació del col·lectiu infermer envers aquest tema per tal que puguin fer una bona educació sexual a les persones amb discapacitat intel·lectual. OBJECTIUS - Conèixer les intervencions que realitzen les infermeres de Salut Mental de Girona per a fer educació sexual a persones amb discapacitat intel·lectual. METODOLOGIA - Es tracta d’un estudi fenomenològic que es durà a terme entre els mesos maig 2020 – gener 2021. Es coneixeran les intervencions que realitzen les infermeres de salut mental sobre l’educació sexual amb persones amb discapacitat intel·lectual així com també les pròpies experiències del col·lectiu envers aquest tema. La tècnica per a fer-ho serà mitjançant una entrevista semi-estructurada que quedarà enregistrada. Posteriorment per a l’anàlisi de dades s’utilitzarà el programa informàtic Atlas-ti
