Percepció de pares i mestres de la teràpia assistida amb animals en infants amb trastorn de l’espectre autista: projecte de recerca

Introduction: Autism Spectrum Disorder is a group of disorders that do not have a specific curative therapy. Animal Assisted Therapy is an alternative form of non- pharmacological therapy that aims to improve the symptoms and quality of life of people who are on the autistic spectrum. Animal Assisted Therapy has become increasingly important in recent years, as it appears to show beneficial results at different levels. However, there is still a lack of information in order to determinate the real benefits that this therapy can offer. The aim of these studies is to continue to research this therapy in the field of nursing, in order to be able to offer a better quality of life and better health care for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Main Objective: To know and analyse the perception of parents and teachers about the benefits of Animal Assisted Therapy in children with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Material and methods: A qualitative study of a phenomenological nature is proposed, which will be carried out in the province of Girona. The study population will be formed by boys and girls with Autism Spectrum Disorder, as well as their parents and teachers. The sample will be selected by snowball sampling. An individualized study will quantify the number of dog assisted therapy sessions that will be performed on children. Once completed, 5 in-depth semi-structured interviews will be conducted with both parents and teachers followed by their transcription with the N-Vivo program, categorizing and analysing them, with a subsequent triangulation of the data obtained

Introducció: El Trastorn de l’Espectre Autista, és un grup de trastorns pels quals no hi ha una teràpia curativa específica, i la Teràpia assistida amb animals, és un tipus de teràpia alternativa no farmacològica que pretén millorar els símptomes i la qualitat de vida de les persones que tenen aquest trastorn. La Teràpia Assistida amb Animals està agafant importància en els darrers anys, ja que sembla mostrar resultats beneficiosos a diferents nivells, així i tot encara falta informació per a poder determinar els beneficis reals que pot oferir la teràpia. En aquest estudi es pretén seguir investigant en aquest àmbit des d’infermeria per tal de poder oferir una millor qualitat de vida i millor atenció sanitària en infants amb Trastorn de l’Espectre Autista. Objectiu principal: Conèixer i analitzar la percepció dels pares i mestres sobre els beneficis de la Teràpia Assistida amb Animals en infants amb Trastorn de l’Espectre Autista. Material i mètodes: Es proposa un estudi qualitatiu de caràcter fenomenològic, que es portarà a terme a la província de Girona. La població d’estudi seran nens i nenes amb Trastorn de l’Espectre Autista, així com els seus pares i mestres. La mostra es seleccionarà per mitjà d’un mostreig per bola de neu. Mitjançant un estudi individualitzat es quantificarà el nombre de sessions de teràpia assistida amb gossos que es realitzaran als infants. Un cop finalitzades, es faran 5 entrevistes semiestructurades en profunditat tan als pares com als mestres seguit de la transcripció d’aquestes amb el programa N-Vivo, categoritzant-les i analitzant- les, amb una posterior triangulació de les dades obtingudes
