Toponímia: accidents geogràfics i presència humana al municipi de Begur

El següent treball tracta d’un estudi onomàstic del municipi de Begur (Baix Empordà). S’intentarà relacionar la toponímia de l’entorn de Begur amb els accidents geogràfics, la litologia, les tradicions i la història local per a obtenir una lectura del municipi incloent tant les característiques físiques i naturals, com les socials. S’aprofundirà en diversos apartats, així com en la geografia i la composició geològica del municipi o en les variacions dialectals del català emprades en els diversos topònims locals. A continuació s’elaborarà un llistat de tots els topònims del municipi, fruit de la recerca en diverses fonts d’historiadors i geògrafs de la comarca i de la pròpia localitat. A través de diverses fonts de consulta, tant locals com de l’àmbit català, s’intentarà acotar el topònim amb el seu significat per tal de poder tenir una lectura més entenedora del territori dins l’àmbit d’estudi. També es tractarà del primer treball dedicat exclusivament a l’anàlisi de la toponímia del municipi de Begur

The following dissertation deals with an onomastic study of the municipality of Begur (Baix Empordà). An attempt will be made to establish a correlation between the toponymy of Begur and its surrounding areas and its geographical features, the lithology, the traditions, and the local history to obtain a global view of the municipality including both the physical and natural characteristics, as well as the social ones. It will consider the subject matter in depth in several sections, in addition to considering the geological and geographical composition of the municipality or the dialectal variations of Catalan used in the various toponyms of the municipality of Begur. Following this, a list of all the toponyms of the municipality will be drawn up, the result of research obtained from various sources of local and regional historians and geographers. Having consulted a variety of local sources, both local and Catalan, an attempt will be made to define the toponym and its meaning in order to have a more comprehensible overview of the territory of the municipality of Begur. It will also be the first study dedicated exclusively to the analysis of the toponymy of the municipality of Begur
