Les primeres pàgines de l’estudi fan referència a l’estat de l’art de la història de l’automòbil. Com a pretext, el vehicle receptor que es vol transformar a elèctric és de la marca Peugeot i d’aquesta manera, tot l’estudi dona més protagonisme al fabricant francès. Així, es mostra de manera visual i esquemàtica tota l’evolució dels models al llarg de tota la seva història i es presenta mitjançant una disposició i format favorable a la comprensió d’aquesta evolució. També, s’explica detalladament les diferents tipologies de motors existents, identificant els seus elements principals i quin és el seu principi de funcionament. El motor, les bateries de tracció, l’ondulador i el carregador són un dels principals elements que s’hi descriuen. Especialment es fa més èmfasi en el vehicle elèctric i a banda del motor que el composa, també s’esmenta quins són els diferents components mecànics i elèctrics que aconsegueixen el seu funcionament.
