Percepció dels adolescents envers un problema de salut creixent: l’addicció a la pornografia: projecte de recerca

Background: Pornography addiction can be classified into the group of behavioural addictions. The fact that online pornography has been recently growing and that its consumption leads to a potential addiction can be attributed to the triple A factor: it is anonymous, accessible and affordable. Adolescents are the most vulnerable ones to experience a problematic use of pornography due to the great biological, psychological, emotional, and social changes they experiment, accompanied by the fact that they build their social and sexual identity through ICTs (information and communication technologies). In Spain, 37,7% of porn consumers between 10 and 18 years old are considered risk consumers. Developing this risky behaviour in adolescents has negative effects on the quality of their relationships, mental health and sexual performance, among others. For this reason, their perception on this field is interesting in order to evolve towards new and more effective prevention programs and sexual-affective education. Aim: Learn the level of pornography addiction among adolescents as well as their related opinions and experiences

Marc teòric: L‘addicció a la pornografia es pot classificar dins del grup d‘addiccions conductuals. El fet que la pornografia online es trobi a l‘alça i que comporti una potencial addicció es pot atribuir el factor triple A: és anònima, accessible i assequible. El col·lectiu adolescent és el més vulnerable a desenvolupar un ús problemàtic de pornografia degut als grans canvis biològics, psicològics, emocionals i socials que experimenten, acompanyats del fet que construeixen la seva identitat social i sexual a través de les TICs (tecnologies de la informació i comunicació). A Espanya, el 37,7% dels consumidors de porno entre 10 i 18 anys estan considerats consumidors de risc. Aquest comportament de risc en adolescents comporta efectes negatius en la qualitat de les relacions de parella, la salut mental i el rendiment sexual, entre altres. Per aquest motiu, la seva percepció sobre el tema resulta de gran interès per tal d‘evolucionar cap a noves mesures de prevenció més eficaces i una educació sexual-afectiva de qualitat.
