Últimament, la tecnologia Blockchain està agafant molta importància al món de la informàtica. La possibilitat de guardar informació de forma descentralitzada ens proporciona seguretat quant a la veracitat d’aquesta, ja que és immutable, cap entitat que formi part de la Blockchain pot modificar les dades ja escrites. Aquest sistema es va entendre molt bé en forma de moneda fa més d’una dècada ja. Per mitjans de 2009 es va crear el Bloc Gènesi de Bitcoin amb només 2 nodes a la xarxa, el primer bloc de la Blockchain, a poc a poc cada vegada més gent va anar adoptant aquesta tecnologia i va passar de tenir 2 nodes públics a tenir-ne 9.000 en menys de 10 anys. Veient l’èxit de Bitcoin van començar a sortir moltes més criptomonedes, una de les més famoses va ser Ethereum que va introduir al món els Smart Contracts, això ens permetria no només guardar diners a la Blockchain sinó poder començar a guardar informació
