L’edifici on es dura a terme aquest projecte és una masia construïda l’any 1900 per la FamÃlia Torró. Durant
cinc generacions han viscut al Mas Martinet. Una finca d’arquitectura tradicional i rural.
-Teulades a dues aigües
contemporà nia The building where this project takes place is a farmhouse built in 1900 by the Torró Family. during five generations have lived at Mas Martinet. A farm with traditional and rural architecture. Built by the sustenance of the family without the need to be accountable to feudal lords/rulers... The farmhouse Catalan was initially conceived as a self-sufficient home with its own particularities how: - South-facing facade for maximum use of daylight hours -Gabled roofs -Thick stone walls to keep warm in winter and cool in summer -Ground floor dedicated to the kitchen and outbuildings such as living room, dining room... -Upper floor mainly dedicated to bedrooms -If there was a second floor, it was mainly dedicated to storing or drying food. However, the exodus from the countryside to the cities brought about by the industrial revolution of the 19th meant the abandonment of many of them or the reform in order to adapt them to the new needs of life contemporary |
