Construint amb aire : el ressorgir d’una arquitectura inflable = Building with air : the resurgence of an inflatable architecture

This research aims to study the trajectory of pneumatic architecture, as well as the challenges presented by these structures in immediate the future, using air as the main and supporting material. I start searching for historical antecedents with a timeline from the origins to the present. The work analyzes and classifies these pneumatic architectures in different typologies, studying the main characteristics of each system and how they have evolved to adapt to the present and new needs. Next, the case studies are extracted from the typological and chronological classification, these are analyzed in depth to identify the characteristics of each one and, through the comparative analysis, the evolutionary trajectory and future development of this one. Subsequently, a categorization is made, the results and conclusions are drawn

Aquesta investigació pretén estudiar la trajectòria de l’arquitectura neumàtica, així com els reptes que presenten aquestes estructures en un futur immediat, utilitzant l’aire com a material principal i de sustentació. Parteixo d’una recerca d’antecedents històrics amb un cronograma des dels orígens fins a l’actualitat. El treball analitza i classifica aquestes arquitectures pneumàtiques en diferents tipologies, realitzant un estudi de les característiques principals de cada sistema i com han evolucionat per adaptar-se a l’actualitat i a les noves necessitats. Seguidament, de la classificació tipològica i cronològica s’extreuen els casos d’estudi, aquests s’analitzen en profunditat per identificar les característiques de cada un i, a través de l’anàlisi comparatiu, es determina la trajectòria evolutiva i el futur desenvolupament d’aquesta.
