Escoltant la joventut: empoderament juvenil a Roda de Ter des d’una perspectiva comunitària

Empoderar els joves des de la comunitat és essencial perquè els permet adquirir habilitats, participar activament en la societat, fomentar la cohesió social i influir en les decisions que afecten les seves vides, contribuint així al desenvolupament personal i col·lectiu mitjançant la superació de situacions específiques. L’article se centra a explorar els processos d’empoderament juvenil a la població de Roda de Ter. La recerca s’ha realitzat a través de 151 qüestionaris dirigits a persones de 16 a 29 anys del municipi. Els qüestionaris han indagat sobre els espais que han contribuït al seu empoderament, la percepció del seu poder de decisió dins el poble, l’existència d’espais juvenils i, les experiències personals que han facilitat el seu creixement. Els resultats mostren com les relacions familiars i d’amistat són el factor més influent en l’empoderament dels joves. Tanmateix, la majoria dels enquestats perceben una manca de poder de decisió i consideren insuficients els espais juvenils disponibles al municipi, fet que afecta negativament el seu procés d’empoderament. Entre les vivències personals que més han contribuït al seu creixement, destaquen les relacions afectives, conèixer persones significatives i l’experiència de viure sols, amb amics o amb parella. Les dades obtingudes posen de manifest la importància de reforçar les polítiques i els espais comunitaris per afavorir l’empoderament juvenil a Roda de Ter

Empowering young people from the community is essential because it enables them to acquire skills, participate actively in society, enhance social cohesion and influence the decisions that affect their lives, thereby contributing to personal and collective development by overcoming specific situations. This article focuses on analyzing the processes of juvenile empowerment in Roda de Ter’s population. The research has been carried out through 151 questionnaires addressed to participants from 16 to 29 years old. The questionnaires investigated the spaces that have contributed to their empowerment, the perception of their decision-making power in their town, the existence of spaces for the mand the personal experiences that have facilitated their growth. The findings demonstrate that family and friendly relationships are the most influential factors in the empowerment of young people. However, most of the survey participants perceive a lack of decision-making power and consider the youth spaces available in the city to be insufficient, a fact that negatively affects their empowerment process. Other personal experiences that have contributed most to their growth are emotional relationships, meeting significant people, and the experience of living alone, with friends or with a partner.
