This research work stems from the author’s personal interest in the European hare (Lepus europaeus), the result of his experiences in the Camprodon Valley, where he has been able to observe this animal in the wild since he was a child. The study combines a theoretical and practical approach to deepen the knowledge of this species, often confused with the rabbit despite their morphological and ecological differences. The theoretical part has as its main objective to gain in-depth knowledge of the European hare through bibliographical research, addressing aspects such as taxonomy, morphology, distribution, habitat, food, reproduction, predators, diseases and identification of tracks

Aquest treball de recerca neix de l’interès personal de l’autor envers la llebre europea (Lepus europaeus), fruit de les seves vivències a la Vall de Camprodon, on ha pogut observar aquest animal en llibertat des de petit. L’estudi combina una aproximació teòrica i pràctica per aprofundir en el coneixement d’aquesta espècie, sovint confosa amb el conill malgrat les seves diferències morfològiques i ecològiques. La part teòrica té com a objectiu principal conèixer en profunditat la llebre europea a través de la recerca bibliogràfica, abordant aspectes com la taxonomia, morfologia, distribució, hàbitat, alimentació, reproducció, depredadors, malalties i identificació de rastres
