Citizens of a given territory always know where their income comes from, and what they spend their expenses on. In the same way, a society, region or State theoretically should know. However, it seems that this is not always the case. In this work I will try to explain and understand the path the money we pay takes from when it is taken from us in the form of taxes until it is returned to us in the form of infrastructure or other transfers. Is it possible that some of it gets lost along the way? Many economists say that Catalonia has an enormous fiscal deficit. Others say that it does not. It seems that we are not given all the information that we should be given

Els ciutadans d’un territori determinat sempre saben d’on provenen els seus ingressos, i en què destinen les seves despeses. De la mateixa manera, una societat, regió o Estat teòricament ho ha de saber. Segons sembla, però, no sempre es dóna aquest cas. En aquest treball intentaré explicar i comprendre quin camí fan els diners que paguem des que ens els treuen en forma d’impostos fins que ens els tornen en forma d’infrastructures o altres transferències. És possible que se’n perdin pel camí?. Molts economistes diuen que Catalunya té un dèficit fiscal enorme. D’altres diuen que no.
