Pedres que parlen. Jafre i les seves 101 llindes

Doorposts are part of family architecture, crowning the main door that we frequent so often, or the window of any room, as well as some interior accesses to our home. But have we ever wondered what the meaning of this stone is, who sculpted it, who commissioned it, why it is written what it is, what happened that year, or why it is placed precisely where it is? Well, apart from a piece of wall in our house, it is a stone that speaks to us of the past, and I found the idea of ​​making the most exhaustive collection possible of the thresholds that survive in our town, the town of Jafre located in the middle of the Empordà plain very interesting, since we know that these stones will not last forever. Therefore, the final objective is to leave a record of what we could call works of art of the town that, even if time destroys them, we will always have the opportunity to know that they existed, and observe them even if it is through a photograph deposited in some archive

Les llindes, formen part de l’arquitectura familiar, coronen la porta principal que sovintegem tantes vegades, o la finestra d’una habitació qualsevol, com també alguns accessos interiors de casa nostra. Però ens hem preguntat alguna vegada quin significat té aquesta pedra, qui la va esculpir, qui la va encarregar, perquè hi ha escrit el que hi ha escrit, què va passar aquell any, o per què està precisament posada allà on és? Doncs a part d’un tros de paret de la nostra casa, és una pedra que ens parla del passat, i he trobat molt interessant la idea de fer un recull el més exhaustiu que m’ha estat possible de les llindes que sobreviuen al nostre poble, el poble de Jafre situat al bell mig de la plana de l’Empordà, ja que sabem que aquestes pedres no duraran per sempre Per tant l’objectiu final és deixar constància del que podríem anomenar obres d’art del poble que per més que el temps les vagi destruint, sempre tindrem la oportunitat de saber que han existit, i observar-les encara que sigui a través d’una fotografia dipositada en algun arxiu
