Desenvolupament i comparació de sistemes OCR per la gestió de medicaments en granges

Aquest projecte té com a objectiu desenvolupar un sistema de gestió de medicaments per granges porcines, centrant-se en la monitorització dels medicaments per assegurar el benestar animal. Quan els medicaments arriben a la granja, es fotografia el pot i s’extreu la regió d’interès que conté el lot i la data de caducitat. El projecte parteix d’aquestes imatges i compara diferents llibreries de reconeixement de caràcters. Es crearà una base de dades d’imatges obtingudes en diverses condicions d’il·luminació i enfoc, etiquetades manualment per avaluar i comparar els resultats dels diferents mètodes de detecció de caràcters. Per millorar la qualitat de les imatges, es desenvoluparan diversos mètodes de preprocessat, a més, s’imposaran criteris de format del text per limitar els caràcters possibles en cada posició. El resultat serà un estudi exhaustiu de les diferents llibreries amb els diversos preprocessats, i un software que generarà informes automatitzats amb les mètriques de detecció, incloent-hi la precisió total i el nombre de caràcters erronis en cada cadena entre altres mètriques

This project aims to develop a drug management system for pig farms, focusing on drug monitoring to ensure animal welfare. When the drugs arrive at the farm, the jar is photographed and the region of interest containing the batch and expiration date is extracted. The project starts from these images and compares different character recognition libraries. A database of images obtained under various lighting and focus conditions will be created, manually labeled to evaluate and compare the results of the different character detection methods. To improve the quality of the images, several preprocessing methods will be developed, in addition, text formatting criteria will be imposed to limit the possible characters in each position. The result will be an exhaustive study of the different libraries with the various preprocessing, and a software that will generate automated reports with the detection metrics, including the total accuracy and the number of erroneous characters in each string among other metrics
