This work focuses on the study of Fernando Vallejo’s work El río del tiempo and analyses the process of creating the speech, not the speech itself. Consequently, we have focused our study on the narrator and the setting of the narrative voice which is en first person, as one knows. Moreover, this work regards to the flow of memory as a guiding principle of the story
