This paper proposes an introduction to the complexity and specificity of the problems inherent to tourism development in the deserts. The paper focuses on the Moroccan south, in the region of the dunes of Erg Chebbi and in particular, in the town of Khamlia. The intention is to present a report of sustainable tourism specific to the deserts thinking about its features
