The main contribution of this work is to introduce analytical models able to create simple design charts that would allow designers to quickly determine the strength of quasi-brittle structures containing circular holes. Cohesive Zone Models are an excellent tool to model quasi-brittle structures with holes in which a large failure process zone is confined in a plane. Also, the CZM is able to predict the effect of the structure size on its strength. Moreover, it is one of the few models (or the only model) that takes into account the material cohesive law explicitly. Therefore, most of the presented models in this work are based on the cohesive zone model. La principal contribuci贸 d鈥檃quest treball 茅s la d始introdu茂r un model anal铆tic capa莽 de generar diagrames de disseny que permeten obtenir la resist猫ncia nominal d始estructures quasi-fr脿gils que continguin forats. Els models de zona cohesiva permeten predir la resistencia d始estructures amb forats formades de materials quasi-fr脿gils amb una gran zona de proc茅s de fallada confinada en un pla. Aquests models tamb茅 s贸n capa莽os de predir l始efecte de la mida de l始estructura en la resist猫ncia nominal. A m猫s els models de zona cohesiva s贸n un dels pocs (o els 煤nics) que consideren d始una manera expl铆tica la llei cohesiva en la seva formulaci贸. Per aquestes raons, la majoria de resultats presentats es basen en els models de zona cohesiva. |
