Serious game provides an instructional tool to make the learning process more enjoyable, easier tomemorize and effective. It combines pedagogy goals and game play to increase the participant interest andengagement compared to traditional methods. In this paper, we compare several methodologies of gamedesign relative to our classification proposal; it can assist the analysis and evaluation of serious gamedesign, we illustrate how this classification helps several actors of design to make more informed decisionsabout the adequate methodology. Finally, we discuss the differences in the use of serious game designmethodologies in the follow-up of the statistics of the comparative study
