La Psicopatia: una revisió teòrica

La psicopatia és un concepte existent des de l’antiguitat, però segueix repercutint a la societat actual. Degut a la falta d’inclusió del terme a les classificacions internacionals de les malalties mentals com a categoria diagnòstica, resulta necessari aclarir el terme i delimitar les seves característiques definitòries. Aquest treball pretén realitzar una revisió teòrica sobre el concepte de psicopatia, des d’una conceptualització històrica fins al misteri actual dels “psicòpates adaptats”. Tanmateix, es fa referència al perfil del psicòpata, les bases neurofisiològiques del trastorn així com una discussió sobre aspectes inherents a la identitat moral de les persones amb psicopatia

Psychopathy is an existing concept from antiquity, but is still affecting in modern society. As its term is not included in the international classifications of mental diseases as a diagnostic category, its characteristics must be clarified and defined. The present study pretends to make a theoretical review of the concept of psychopathy, from a historical conceptualization to the current mystery of “adapted psychopaths”. However, referring to the psychopathic profile, the neurophysiological bases of the disorder as well as a discussion of inherent issues in the moral identity of people with psychopathy
