Revisión de la legislación relativa al sistema de justicia juvenil en clave de educación y empoderamiento

El presente artículo sintetiza las principales características que promocionan el trabajo educativo en sistema de justicia juvenil catalán para el logro de la rehabilitación y reinserción social de la juventud. A su vez, analiza la legislación que dirige dicho sistema seleccionando y sintetizando las ideas que orientan los principios y valores que más tienen que ver con educación. Para tener una visión internacional del tema tratado, hemos recorrido a leyes y recomendaciones de referencia tanto a nivel mundial como europeo, español y catalán. Los resultados demuestran que la normativa actual permite concebir la intervención socioeducativa como una acción y un proceso que puede considerar y favorecer el empoderamiento juvenil

This article summarizes the main characteristics promoted by educational work in the Catalan youth justice system for young people to achieve rehabilitation and social reintegration. It also analyses the legislation governing said system by selecting and summarizing the ideas expressed in it that guide principles and values most related to education. In order to provide an international overview of the subject, we have analysed reference laws and recommendations at the worldwide, European, Spanish and Catalan levels. Our results show that current regulations allow socio-educational intervention to be conceived as an action and process that both take youth empowerment into account and favour it
