Música i missió: un estat de la qüestió entorn el fenomen musical de les missions jesuítiques del Paraguai

Al següent treball s’ha realitzat un estat de la qüestió entorn el fenomen musical de les missions jesuítiques del Paraguai, focalitzant en els usos de la música tant per part dels missioners en la seva tasca evangelitzadora, com per part dels indígenes, subjectes actius en la conformació de la cultura reduccional. Arreu del territori de missió, les sonoritats han estat presents en les diverses realitats històriques, culturals i socials; han viscut paral·lelament a la colonització i transformació social que patí la zona. Així doncs, s’han interpretat els papers que jugaren ambdós mons a través de la música i les sonoritats com a vehicles de la missió, com a creadores d’espais híbrids i de resignificació simbòlica i com a armes de resistència. A més, s’ha comprovat la profunditat amb la qual la cultura musical missional va arrelar després de l’expulsió dels jesuïtes, desembocant en els lieux de mémoire del patrimoni missional, les recreacions cinematogràfiques i els sons emergents dels Festivals de Temporada.

In the following essay a general review has been made around the musical phenomenon in the Jesuit missions in Paraguay, over all the uses of music and loudnesses, in one hand by the missionaries in their evangelizer task, and in the other hand by the natives as active subjects in the creation of the reductional culture. Along the mission territory loudnesses have been present in the different historical cultural and social realities, impacting parallelly on the colonization and social transformation off the area suffered. Therefore the roles both worlds had through the music and loudnesses as vehicles off the mission, as creators of hybrid spaces and symbolic redefinition and as weapons of resistance has been interpreted. In addition the depth in which the missional musical culture rooted after the expulsion off the Jesuits has been looked over, emerging as lieux de mémoire like the missional heritage and cinematic recreations or the musical festivals called Festivales de Temporada.
