L’activitat agrícola a Catalunya té una afectació mediambiental molt important en tot el territori. El sector del porcí és el més important dins d’aquesta activitat i genera gran quantitat de residus nitrogenats (Annex 1). Les normatives europees per a la protecció del medi ambient, han obligat a substituir el sistema convencional d’aplicació de purins al camp per ventall per d’altres amb menys impacte ambiental. Aquests altres sistemes, poc desenvolupats per la indústria del sector, ha provocat que la normativa desenvolupada a finals de 2017,, i que havia d’entrar en vigor amb urgència, hagi hagut de prorrogar la seva entrada en vigor fins a l’1 de Gener de 2020, bàsicament perquè la manca d’oferta i les limitacions del sistema de fabricació d’aquests tipus d’aplicadors, no podia satisfer la demanda del mercat. Això ha obert una nova línia d’investigació, disseny i producció per part d’empreses dedicades a la fabricació d’eines agrícoles. Ara bé, l’ordre de magnitud d’aquesta finestra (unitats de milers) no permet desenvolupar una cadena productiva de grans dimensions i alts rendiments

Agricultural activity in Catalonia has a very important environmental impact throughout the territory. The pig sector is the most important within this activity and generates a large amount of nitrogenous waste (Appendix 1). The European regulations for the protection of the environment have forced to replace the conventional system of application of slurry in the field by fan for others with less environmental impact. These other systems, poorly developed by the industry in the sector, have caused the regulations developed at the end of 2017, and which had to enter into force urgently, to have had to extend their entry into force until 1 January 2020, basically because the lack of supply and the limitations of the manufacturing system of these types of applicators, could not meet the market demand. This has opened a new line of research, design and production by companies dedicated to the manufacture of agricultural tools. However, the order of magnitude of this window (thousands of units) does not allow the development of a large production chain with high yields
