Les certificacions de qualitat ambiental en la gestió del recurs aigua: instruments per un futur més sostenible del turisme

La necessitat de trobar un equilibri entre la protecció dels recursos naturals i el creixement econòmic del sector turístic requereix un control i compromís amb el fi d’aconseguir un turisme sostenible. L’objectiu d’aquest treball és l’aplicació d’un nou certificat de qualitat ambiental, anomenat Aquatur, específic del vector aigua i dirigit al sector turístic, tant per a establiments i equipaments com per a destinacions. L’estudi és durà a terme, a nivell de destinació, a Lloret de Mar, actualment massificat pel turisme de sol i platja a la Costa Brava. També es durà a terme a Girona, destinació emergent, representativa del turisme urbà i cultural. Les principals finalitats seran la comparativa entre ambdues destinacions, la millora en l’ús d’aquest bé tan escàs i la sensibilització del sector turístic i, conseqüentment, la competitivitat d’aquestes destinacions en el mercat turístic internacional

The need to find a balance between the protection of natural resources and the economic growth of the tourist sector requires control and commitment in order to achieve sustainable tourism. The objective of this work is the application of a new environmental quality certificate, called Aquatur, within water vector and aimed at the tourism sector, for establishments and equipment as well as for destinations. The study will be carried out, at a destination level, in Lloret de Mar, currently massified by sun and beach tourism on the Costa Brava. It will also be carried out in Girona, an emerging destination, representative of urban and cultural tourism. The main aims will be the comparison between both destinations, the improvement in the use of this scarce asset and the sensitization of the tourism sector and, consequently, the competitiveness of these destinations in the international tourist market
